Building an evacuation central

The evacuation central is the beating heart of an evacuation system. An evacuation central contains many components, but if you would have to divide the central of all brands, there would only remain a few system components:

The minimum requirements are recorded in a product standard and an evacuation central must meet these requirements. This is tested during a system type test. The product standard for evacuation centrals is (NEN) EN54-16. This is a CE standard and it simply means that the user does not have to think whether to choose a compliant installation (it is often more expensive!), but is legally obliged to choose a CE marked product when application of the product is covered by a CE directive.

‘CE standard is now elevated to mandatory’
